Dopo 8 anni e 8 mesi di fidanzamento, pare opportuno quagliare (... o era "fare il salto della quaglia"???) :D
In questi giorni stiamo inviando via posta ordinaria e consegnando a mano le partecipazioni ai parenti che saremo felici di attendere in Brianza, sabato 30 agosto.
Il giorno successivo, domenica 31 agosto, continueremo a far festa con tutti gli amici, in barca sul Lago di Como. Portate il costume!

I'm a little afraid to translate what I'd like to say into Italian, but will try my luck (I am sorry if it's totally wrong)...anyway...

What I hoped I've said above is something like "I wish you both the very best on your special day and hope all goes to plan, have a fantastic day."
I also looked at the website (my Italian is not great, as can be seen from the above - Gio, I need some lessons I think mate! Hehehe), what a fantastic idea the website is though...is this something you guys have done off your own back? or is it the normal for newly weds in Italy? By the way, like the VW Beetle...nice to see they are liked in Italy as well as in the UK.
Anyway, I look forward to hearing about and seeing your wedding photos.

I think the wedding website is a great idea...means you don't have to worry about maps etc...Most people have the internet nowadays.
